IR35 Filing Concession

Taxpayers who are subject to the IR35 legislation had, by concession, an extension to the filing deadline in respect of 2013/14 liabilities. HMRC has published a reminder that personal service companies and other intermediaries have until 31 January 2015 to submit accurate figures and pay any outstanding amounts.

The department’s Employer Bulletin for October said: “This concession operates where a provisional return and payment have been submitted but cannot be confirmed because final figures were not known by 5 April 2014. Adjustments should be reported on an Earlier Year Update (EYU) submitted electronically to HMRC between 20 April 2014 and 31 January 2015. Interest will be charged in the normal way to the date of full payment.”

No reminder letters will be published.
